We look forward to welcoming you to our national conference taking place on Thursday 25 November 2021.
The conference theme is entitled “A Better Way to Deliver for Patients” and will be opened by the Minister for Health, Stephen Donnelly, TD.
During this half-day online event, we’ll debate the changing relationship between private hospitals and the wider health sector in Ireland, the lessons learned from the COVID-19 pandemic and the emerging potential for exciting new partnership models to solve the pressing health needs of our population.
A special focus will be on current and future trends in private health care – how patient care will evolve over the next five to ten years and the priorities for investment to ensure we continue to offer the most up-to-date and appropriate treatments. Equally relevant is the partnership role with health insurers going forward and the global trend of focusing on keeping people in good health, as well as making them better.
The conference comes at an important time as we continue to analyse the impact of the global COVID-19 pandemic on Irish healthcare delivery; as our outpatient waiting lists approach record highs; and questions are being asked about the national strategy on the future of health care, Sláintecare. We’ll reveal new research findings on public confidence in Sláintecare, whether people think it can succeed and what it will mean for the future of the private hospital sector which already currently treats over 400,000 patients annually in 18 hospitals across Ireland.
